The Rantcor Pit/The Rantcor Pit Live’s own Cole “JediCole” Houston and Eddie Medina are back (with a little help from The Talk Lord of the Sith himself, Darth Zach and show apprentice Stephen Fett) to introduce you to what lies in store at All-Con. From lively discussion and Q&A with the audience to the first game show of the weekend, “You Can’t Win”!
Kick off your weekend with “Your Favorite Star Wars Guys”!

Come learn helpful hints to making kids' costumes on a budget (after all they grow out of them quickly!) and how to face the challenges of being a "cosplay mom/dad."
We'll cover the differences in making costumes for adults vs kids (ie: more limited sizes, smaller budgets, more comfortable costumes) and share some of our favorite local kid costumes.
With the expertise of artists Jessica Arntz and Nick Ward, she will teach you first-hand some of the fundamentals of leatherworking and exactly what you need to get into this fascinating hobby. Hands-on demonstrations will be provided.
There have been studies on the psychology of why people dress up in costumes and take on different personas. The reasons vary from simple enjoyment of making costumes to complicated escapism. There have been articles released from psychologists like Dr. Ali Mattu to neuroscientists such as Dr. Paul Zehr. We will cover some of the reasons that have been discussed via these studies with a cosplay veteran of 27 years. She has participated in mascot work, in fursuits, as a stylist for cosplayers, talent manager for publications, done extensive photowork for national publications, has a degree in both Psychology and VIsual Communications. She spoken on behalf of the cosplay community in the news and with the media and now runs the only locally created cosplay charity in Texas. Rebecka Haskins-Hunt is quiet about what she has done but has the knowledge to walk us through what these studies say about why we love cosplay.

A blast from the past, literally, Recycled! is a category-free game show that will kick off the track at ALL-CON this year. Actual game show cards (with questions of course) from past years of All-Con (and even some recovered after Infinicon 2016) have been amassed for recycling. That's right, all the trivia in this game show is being given a second chance after being a part of many other game shows from the past!
Three contestants will start the game, vying for their choice of great prizes, but there's a twist! Three wrong answers from a contestant not only eliminates them from the game, but opens their seat to ANOTHER contestant when they get Recycled! Contestants amass points, but can lose it all with wrong answers. All participants receive a small prize from the Recycled Bin, but only one will walk away with a main prize.
Do you dare to face Recycling?
The Dark Empire (TDE) is recognized by Lucasfilm as a costuming organization comprised of and operated by fans of Star Wars.
One of the main features to our club is that we encourage "custom creativity." While we do allow for iconic canon characters such as Dark Vader, Darth Maul, and the Emperor we also allow our club members to develop their own custom Star Wars characters. We believe that Star Wars was created to engage one's imagination and we explore that creativity in the form of custom Sith, Dark Jedi, Grey Jedi, Smugglers, and Bounty Hunters.
If this sounds interesting then please join us at our panel! We're happy to answer any questions you might have.
