This panel will review the path of fairies through history and literature, leading up to fairies in pop culture, from mangas and superheroes to modern YA literature and popular fantasy movies.
The MA Graduate Portfolio of Caitlin Smith Waits, attempts to collect literary works featuring fairies, folklore, fairy stories, as well as scholastic works considering fairies in literature and in culture, in relation to the Western Literary cannon.
